I had been married to Charles Foster for ten years, believing we were a loving couple. But I accidentally witnessed him in our bedroom with Rebecca, his childhood sweetheart, boasting about my suffering.
“Her parents should have died long ago. I arranged that car accident to make sure they died without any pain. Wasn’t that considerate of me?” Charles sneered.
“That bitch giving birth to my child? In the past ten years, she’s been pregnant eight times, and I made her miscarry eight times. Each time she felt so guilty, thinking it was her fault for not taking good care of herself. You should have seen her face,” he laughed cruelly.
“She deserves all of this! Ten years ago, she embarrassed you in front of everyone by correcting your table manners. For these ten years, I’ve made her our slave, to pay for her sins!”
My world spun as I burst in to confront them.
